K. Sivan born on 14 April 1957 in Nagercoli, kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu and he was first person in his family who has completed his graduation. He educated from Tamil medium school and he wore first time footwear when he when went collage.
His father Kailasa Vadivu and mother Chellam both are farmers this is sufficient region they do not have money for educate his child but K. Sivan complete his education of class 1st to class 8th in government school, before 8th we all know study need money and that is not with K. Sivan so he was start selling mangoes and collect money for study.
His father put a condition in front of him that if he wanted to continue his studies further, he has to continue his study in his village school only and he has to help him in his farming also, so he started studying in his village school only and after the school gets over he directly move towards his father's farm for help him in farming.
When 12th completed and family support
K. Sivan want to do engineering (B.Tech) but father says we don't have money then K. Sivan protest with hunger strike one week, but he was fail to convince his father, then with the help of scholarship he joined Madras Institute of Technology and graduated in 1980 with B.Sc maths.
His marks in B.Sc under graduate programme was outstanding so his father was very impressed by him. And after that his father get emotional and told him that once i had stopped you for doing B.Tech and now i have realized my mistake and now i will sold all my property for your education only, then he complete his B.Tech and he get master's degree in aerospace engineering from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore in 1982 and he got placement in ISRO. In 2006 he got PhD in aerospace engineering from IIT, Bombay.

In 1980s India works parallel in there satellite program and missile program at that time in 1982 K. Sivan start his career with ISRO and he was send in Vikram Sarabhai center at same time Indian government start PSLV project and this project is handover to K. Sivan and he got many project he design SITARA software which is back bone of ISRO. He got a title of ROCKET MAN because of his contribution in cryogenic rocket engine.
In 2015 A. S. Kiran Kumar was retired and K. Sivan becomes 10th ISRO chief.
In 2017 ISRO makes a world record to launch 104 satellite in presence of K. Sivan as a chief.
In 2019 ISRO launch Chandryaan 2 which is 90% successful project.

In 2021 ISRO plan to mission Gagnyaan.
Another plans are Aditya L1 for study of sun.
Shukrayaan 1 for Venus.
